In 2010, five prestigious prosthodontists asked Mark Frichtel, President, and Sven Jesse, Owner, Jesse & Frichtel Dental Lab, a 46-person lab in Pittsburgh, PA, to write a chapter on All-on-4 restorative procedures for their book, Dental Implants: the Arts and Science, 2nd Edition. To make it more readily available to interested dentists, Jesse and Frichtel decided to create a separate e-book, a PDF file they posted on their website.
It took about 15 to 20 hours to adapt the chapter into a four-page e-book titled, All-on-4 and Beyond: Restorative Guide. It explains the five restorative appointments required for the technique, from master impression to full zirconium insert, offering pictures, step-by-step clinical details and the lab’s turnaround time for the different steps so the dentist can schedule the patient accordingly. “It’s as much about communication as it is All-on-4 education.
