Ziemek Laboratories: Expansion Makes Room for High-Tech CE Center

In 2012, Ziemek Laboratories’ 3,000-square-foot facility was bursting at the seams, had an inefficient two-story layout and employees were scrambling for parking spaces. It was time for a change.
Owner Bob Ziemek purchased a lot in Olympia, WA, with ample room for parking and a 10,000-square-foot laboratory. He and Jamie Stover, CDT, General Manager/COO, got to work designing a facility packed with features that would dazzle clients and employees alike.
Since offering continuing education is a key part of the lab’s business model, building an on-site education center was a priority. “We frequently held classes at our old location and even founded a study club that met there, but we didn’t have a dedicated CE space. That was one of our core needs,” says Stover, explaining that the CE area—the Northwest Dental Event Center—is one of his favorite things about the new laboratory....
