Poised for Growth, Utah Lab Nearly Doubles its Size

In 2018, Utah Valley Dental Lab saw the writing on the wall: the 80-person Provo, UT laboratory had outgrown its 9,000-square-foot space, severely limiting its potential for growth. Spread between three floors, the laboratory was poorly configured and the tight, cramped space was creating personnel issues. “Our old office was very cozy,” jokes Jim Thacker, Vice President/Business Manager, Utah Valley Dental Lab. “People had no personal space.”
Even parking was a struggle; the lab had maxed out its parking lot and employees were forced to find parking on nearby city streets.
When a one-floor, 17,000-square-foot space opened up in the nearby town of Lindon, the laboratory jumped at the opportunity, signing a 10-year lease in a new, modern building with spectacular mountain views and amenities like an on-site gym.
