Dentek Dental Laboratory: Functional and Esthetic

Jeff Parker, BS, CDT, LVIM, President of Dentek Dental Laboratory in Scottsdale, AZ, spent about three years looking for a larger space before he found the ideal location: right next door.


The idea of moving just one door down was appealing. Parker liked the location in the newer corporate office complex as well as the golf course views and, since he already owned the smaller suite, if he needed to expand in the future, he could simply connect the two spaces; currently he’s using the lab’s former 1,500-square-foot suite as a rental property.


For eight months, he worked with an architect and general contractor to design and construct a 3,000-square-foot laboratory that was both functional and esthetic. “Our old lab had a really inefficient workflow,” says Parker. “People were constantly crossing paths, going to the back of the lab for model work, then up front for case design.
