  • Dental Designs’ new Lincoln, NE, location. The lab has a second location in nearby Omaha that employs 30 technicians.

  • Four clocks on the wall between the fixed and removable departments display the current time in the Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones so technicians can keep track of deadlines for cases across the country. The Central clock is marked in red since that’s Dental Designs’ time zone.

  • The new Lincoln location is home to six 3D printers; pictured here are four of them: a Stratasys Objet260, a 3D Systems ProJet MJP 3600, and two EnvisionTEC printers. The printers are housed in their own ventilated, temperature-controlled room with easy-to-clean luxury vinyl tile floors.

  • Large windows allow plenty of natural light into the lab, where technicians work at custom-designed benches with white quartz tops as seen here in the implant department. “The high ceilings and windows on every wall contribute to the open, airy feel,” says Joe Barrett.

  • The building features a 50-seat educational space where the lab hosts seminars for dentists.
