From Basement to Bright & Beautiful

Like so many others, when COVID-19 hit in March 2020, Chelsie Wilson, CDT, was furloughed. She was working as a denture technician in a large laboratory and had plans to open her own lab inside a dentist-client’s office later that year when his new building was complete; she would handle all of his removable work as well as that of her own outside clients.
“It really fast tracked my plans to open my own business but, since our building wasn’t up yet, I had to work out of my basement with the basic materials and supplies I had been gradually purchasing,” says Wilson, a native of Middletown, IN. “At first, I even had to outsource my processing because I hadn’t ordered my injection machine yet.”
