Decadent Laboratories: A City Studio Steeped in History

Finding a laboratory space in New York City that isn’t a budget buster is no easy task—just ask Marc Dixon, CDT.
“Over the course of several months, I probably looked at 1,000 different places online,” says Dixon, Owner of Decadent Laboratories in Brooklyn, NY, a solo operation specializing in complex cases, implants and full-mouth reconstructions.
Then, he came across a listing for a renovated 300-square-foot corner studio on the fourth floor of a historic building—it formerly housed a chocolate company and a textile factory that made bedding to support troops during WWII and the Korean War—and was wowed by the photos. “I figured it was too good to be true, but I clicked on the map to find out where it was,” says Dixon.
