Unique Hybrid Prosthesis Remedies Severe Dental Trauma

This year, our laboratory was privileged to work on an exceptionally unique and challenging case. It stands out as our favorite due to its complexity and the profound impact it had on the life of the patient: a 45-year-old male who suffered severe dental trauma in an accident.

He had lost several teeth in the upper arch, many of the remaining teeth were fractured beyond repair and there was considerable bone loss. As a result, the doctor determined that a full-arch restoration was necessary. Our mission was to restore the patient’s smile and bite functionality while addressing the structural deficits in the bone.

Collaborating closely with the dentist, we devised a comprehensive treatment plan. First, the patient underwent bone grafting to rebuild the jawbone and provide a stable foundation for the implants which were placed after the bone grafts healed.
