Patient Requests Full Denture with 28 Silver Crowns

One of my top accounts had an edentulous patient with a unique request: complete implant-retained dentures with no palate and every tooth made out of a silver-colored alloy to “match his personality.” I have been a technician since 1970 and this was a first for me; challenge accepted.
The dentist placed four implants in each arch with Locator abutments and attachments. I designed the frameworks and crowns using 3Shape software, then sent the frames to Bertram Dental Lab for printing and the crowns to Argen for milling using its Argeloy N.P. Supreme. When I got them back, I used a high-speed lathe to remove the support connections and polished them to a high shine.
I set up the crowns according to the bite registration and sent it out for a full try-in; since the bite would be difficult to adjust chairside, it had to be spot on and it was. Once I got it back, I processed the denture base using standard Lucitone® 199 acrylic.
