Strategy: Going Fully Digital and Getting Rid of the Model Room

In 2018, I was working for my in-laws and, since they planned to retire, they offered to sell the lab to me. I was hesitant because I watched them for years and knew what lab life was like: 16-hour days, working weekends, etc. However, we were just starting to get into digital and I saw the opportunity to take it further. I purchased the lab and set a goal to be all digital within three years and get rid of the model room altogether. I knew it would make us more efficient and that was important since we were losing two technicians (both my mother-in-law and father-in-law); other than me, there was only one other technician.
We started by scanning impressions but had one doctor who had an IOS system so we knew that technology was much more efficient and wanted to get more clients on board.
