How to strut your stuff with photography

Photography is the ultimate way to let people know who you are, what you represent and what your skill level truly is. I started using photography to promote my work 10 years ago and it has grown my business dramatically: today, 90% of my lab’s work comes from dentists who have seen my photos on my website, and these clients have become quality, loyal accounts. Here are some of my tips:
- I use a Nikon D-800 full-frame body with the R1-C1 dual flash system. I find that a typical, single-ring flash overexposes the image; a dual-flash system gives evenly dispersed light from two flashes located on each side of the lens.
- If the words “exposure,” “aperture” and “ISO” make your head spin, there’s a setting on most DSLR cameras called “aperture priority” which sets all of these things for you automatically—you can literally just point and shoot.
