Custom Software Does Double Duty: Streamlines Workflow, Provides Top-Shelf Service

For CEO Christian Saurman, developing his own lab management software and customer portal for his company, NEO Lab, Andover, MA, was the best and most expensive investment he ever made in his company—and also the hardest.


Four years ago, he realized NEO’s current off-the-shelf management software wasn’t cutting it; the lab had to “rig the system” to meet the unique needs of its ortho lab production. Saurman, a tech-savvy, out-of-the-box thinker with a degree in Computer Information Systems, decided to build his own system from scratch.
