RAM's New Mobile Digital Denture Lab Seeks Technician Volunteers

The Remote Area Medical® Volunteer Corps—better known as RAM—has come a long way since it began offering free dental care for underserved patients in 1992. “For our first event in Tennessee, we loaded one heavy dental chair into the back of a pickup truck,” says Eric Hutchinson, Chief Communications Officer at the non-profit, which also provides free medical and vision care. “Today, we host dozens of mobile pop-up medical clinics a year, including several dental-only events in our tractor trailer equipped with three dental chairs. In total, we’ve provided cleanings, extractions and composite fillings to hundreds of thousands of patients in 42 states.”
