How he got his start: I enrolled in a dental assisting program that required an internship at the end. Since I had heard a lot about laboratories during my course and my curiosity was piqued, I requested placement in a lab. I spent two months interning at Sun Dental Lab, getting a little bit of experience in different departments—casting, hand waxing and even shipping and receiving—and I knew it was the career for me.
