Coming from 11 countries and 26 states, over 1,600 laboratory owners, managers and technicians battled a heat wave to join LMT for LAB DAY West on May 16-17 in Garden Grove, CA. They came for the education, networking, comparison shopping and purchasing opportunities, and found everything they needed to take care of business at our 24th annual show.
“I attended a seminar presented by Peter Pizzi, purchased some new equipment from Glidewell, spent some valuable time with our Evident lab software partners, found a new digital training solution from Core3dcentres, reconnected with a great technician and opened a dialogue about working together in the future, drank a little wine at the Aurident table, and updated my knowledge in many functional areas of the lab. In addition, three of my CDTs were able to complete all their CE requirements in the two days,” says Mike Hill, Owner of 6-11 Dental Studio, Lake Forest, CA.
This year, 150 hours of educational courses were offered during Friday and Saturday, courtesy of 3Shape; Amann Girrbach America; American Dental Supply; Argen Corp.; Avadent; B&D Dental Technologies; Bego USA; Core3dcentres; Datron Dynamics; DENTSPLY Implants; DENTSPLY Prosthetics; GC America; Heraeus Kulzer; Ivoclar Vivadent; Kuraray America; NBC; Nobel Biocare; Nobilium/Ticonium; Preat Corp.; Primotec; SafeLink Consulting; Sirona; Sterngold/Cendres+Metaux; Tanaka Dental; TCS, Inc.; Valplast International; Vident; Whip Mix; Zimmer Dental; and Zirkonzahn USA.
On Saturday, attendees shopped the Exhibit Hall, which featured the latest offerings from over 140 manufacturers and suppliers. Exhibitors reported interest was high and business was hopping. “We’ve been busy since the doors opened,” said Shanda Robb, Axsys Dental. ”We made our first sale within 20 minutes and it’s been nonstop ever since.”
In addition to our attendees, LMT thanks the manufacturers, suppliers and educators who help make LAB DAY West such a successful event year after year.
LAB DAY West returns to the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, CA, next year, with exhibits on May 2 and clinics on both May 1 and 2.
