In the past five years, I’ve become a big proponent of 3D printing models and appliances. When executed properly, this innovative technology saves significant time and money, and yields a fit and appearance that rival conventional manufacturing.
However, as with any technology, there are specific protocols that must be followed to ensure consistent outcomes. Given the ever-evolving array of resins, it’s especially important to follow proper washing and curing parameters to avoid issues like shrinkage, color instability or compromised structural integrity.
