Advances in digital technology have earned labs increased efficiency, given them access to a broader selection of materials and allowed them to cut labor costs. But opinions are mixed on what effect they have on the ever-exasperating topic of external remakes.
What downright frustrates laboratory owners and managers about remakes is that they feel the bulk of them are beyond their control. In fact, respondents to LMT’s 2018 Remake Survey say 82% of external remakes are due to the dentist’s error and that, across all departments, a poor or distorted impression is most often the culprit.
