Survey Snapshot: The Implant Market

Eighty-five percent of respondents to LMT’s State of the Industry 2015 survey offer implants. The following data is based on 239 responses from U.S. lab owners/managers; 51% are C&B labs, 34% are full service labs, 15% are denture/partial labs, 66% are 1-5 person labs, 19% employ 6-20 people, 8% are 21-50 person labs and 7% have over 50 employees.


Respondents rate their implant workload:
32% say it’s booming
33% say it’s good
21% say it’s stable
14% say it’s slow


On average, 18% of their total workload is implant related.


Of their total implant workload:
76% is fixed
24% is removable


Of their fixed implant workload:
73% are single-tooth implants
18% are implant bridges
9% are full-arch reconstructions


Of their removable implant workload:
54% are overdentures with Locator/ball attachments
28% are hybrid...
