State of the Implant Market: Strong and Steady

Sixty-three percent of laboratory-owner respondents to LMT’s 2018 Implant Survey say their implant business is “good” or “booming,” a percentage that has held rock solid in LMT surveys dating back to 2013. “Implants are becoming more and more prevalent because of the research that proves how well they work, and advances in technology have made my clients happier than ever to be doing them,” says Josh Olson, Owner, Ceratek Dental Lab, Roswell, NM.
Interestingly, over this five-year timeframe, the percentage of dentist-clients sending implant work has also remained consistent (approximately 65%), as has the percentage of laboratories’ total workload that’s implant related (about 30%). So what has changed in the last five years?
