Pioneer in Digital Dentures Hosts Inaugural Symposium

While still in its infancy, the digital denture market is poised for growth. “It’s predicted that the U.S denture market will grow from 8.6 million units in 2015 to 9.7 million units by 2020. Within that time frame, digital dentures are expected to grow from less than 1% to about 20%,” said Jan Slor, EVP/General Manager, Global Dental Science, during his presentation at the company’s first AvaDent International Symposium this past September in Scottsdale, AZ.

With about 200 dentists and laboratory operators in attendance, the one-and-a-half-day program featured a wide variety of speakers showcasing AvaDent digital denture case studies and explaining the benefits of the technology: meeting patients’ demand for full dentures in two to three appointments, the ability to replicate the prosthesis when needed in the future, excellent fit and labor savings.
