  • New York City College of Technology’s new eight-floor building in downtown Brooklyn sports a sleek glass exterior and modern features throughout, including a two-story lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows; red, illuminated reception desk; and a striking curved orange wall that serves as the entrance to a 1,000-person theater. The new building houses the Department of Restorative Dentistry and several other School of Professional Studies health programs, including dental hygiene, nursing, vision care and radiology.

  • On the building’s sixth floor, the Department of Restorative Dentistry’s three large “smart” laboratory classrooms feature sleek white benches and lighting; sophisticated AV equipment and projectors; sliding whiteboards; and wet labs for model work and investing, burnout, casting and pressing equipment.

  • A suite of administrative offices houses the 23-person department while other spacious rooms are dedicated to storage of equipment, materials and supplies. “Compared to the worn-out facilities we occupied for the last 72 years, our new space has been a wonderful and welcome change,” says program Chair and Associate Professor Renata Budny (pictured here).
