IDS 2019 Captures the Zeitgeist of our Profession

The excitement and enthusiasm for innovation and technology was tangible in the 13 exhibit halls that housed 2,327 companies from 64 countries at the IDS 2019 in Cologne, Germany in March. We walked them all, joining the other 160,000 visitors in our quest to bring you the highlights and give you a glimpse of what’s in store for the U.S. market.
Among the most notable trends:
- Upgrades were the name of the game, including new mills offering greater automation, lab scanners with higher speeds and resolutions, and more multilayer zirconia materials with higher translucency.
