exocad® America Acquires SensAble® Dental, Soon To Offer Partial Denture Design Software

In September, exocad America acquired the dental assets of SensAble Dental (Geomagic acquired SensAble’s industrial assets in 2012) and can now distribute and further develop SensAble’s software for designing metal and flexible partial denture frameworks.

“With this acquisition, exocad now can deliver the premier CAD software that labs can use for their daily partial framework designs,” says Larry Bodony, President, exocad America. “It accelerates exocad’s entry into the partial denture arena and further strengthens our position as ‘the complete software solution for digital dentistry.’”

The software will be available in two phases:

• In the short term, a technology preview will be available which will enable exocad users to immediately start using the partial denture design functions native to SensAble’s software.
