Community Spirit Endures in Our Industry

In late September, Helene, a Category 4 hurricane, hit a number of states along the East Coast. Asheville, NC, home to Image Dental Arts, was especially devastated. “It was like a tornado of 15 feet of water had filled the entire first floor of the lab which houses all of our offices, porcelain department, CAD department, shipping and receiving. It was unimaginable devastation; I saw my 21 years of hard work building the business just eliminated by nature’s fury,” says Mark Anderson, Owner of the 46-person lab.
In response to the disaster, many members of our community quickly stepped up to help. For example, within two days, Bob Savage, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Drake Precision Dental Laboratory, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, called and invited Anderson and his staff to work in Drake’s facility until Image Dental Arts is rebuilt.
