Awesome Innovations at IDS 2015

We went. We walked (a lot!). We discovered. As part of our ongoing State of the Industry 2015 coverage, LMT Editors Kelly Carr and Maribeth Marsico visited the world’s largest dental show—the IDS in Cologne, Germany—to give you a glimpse at what’s coming down the pike for the U.S. market. Digital Dentures Dominate
The digital revolution has come to fruition in the removable prosthetic arena, with more than a half dozen companies now digitizing some or all of the fabrication steps.


A player in the digital denture field since 2011, Global Dental Science (GDS) introduced the next generation of its AvaDent® Denture; the entire denture—including base and teeth—is full-contour milled from a patented, pre-shrunk, bacteria-resistant, polychromatic, PMMA eXtreme Cross Linked (XCL) puck.
