AOLP: First Official Association for Orthodontic Technicians

Orthodontic laboratory owners have banded together to form the first official association for orthodontic technicians: the Association of Orthodontic Laboratory Professionals (AOLP).
The Founder and President of the group is Chris Gajewski, a 30-year industry veteran who is Co-Owner of Bryn Mawr Ortho Lab in Bryn Mawr, PA. “For years, some of us in the industry have been talking about forming an association just for us so I decided to go ahead and do it—especially now that digital processes are transforming ortho labs. It’s the ‘build it and they will come’ approach,” says Gajewski.
Earlier this year, Gajewski spent about $8,000 of his own money to hire an attorney to set up the non-profit entity and work with a designer to create an association website. He then reached out to all of his ortho contacts to let them know he was launching...
