3DRPD®: Exclusive Distributor of DLyte Electropolishing Units

Known for its SLM outsourcing services for chrome-cobalt frameworks, 3DRPD is getting into the equipment game: it’s now the exclusive U.S. and Canadian distributor of the DLyte electropolishing units, manufactured by GPA Innova.  “It’s a natural match because when we fabricate frameworks for laboratories, we offer the option of having them returned polished or unpolished; for labs that prefer to do their own polishing, this is an ideal solution,” said Eric Fortin, CDT, Vice President, Production and IT.


Using DLyte’s patented DryLyte® technology, the completely automated units grind and polish metals by ion transport; no liquid is used. DLyte 10D polishes three frames in 60 minutes and sells for about $52,000 and the DLyte 100D polishes nine in one hour and is about $99,000.
