Industry Changes and Challenges Front and Center at CAL-Lab Meeting

“We all expect to see greater dependence on 3D printing and milling and yet-to-be developed material technologies and applications…and you can expect to see more direct-to-consumer competition,” said Judy Fishman, CEO and Publisher of LMT who, along with LMT’s Marketing Director Jessica Fila, gave the State of the Industry address at CAL-Lab’s 92nd annual meeting in Chicago. “You can also expect competition from several other fronts: for example, more dental groups are going to buy their own printers and milling equipment and do more of their own restorative work, while manufacturers will continue to expand their fabrication services.”
