3D Systems Releases New Printer and Resins

“It’s four-times faster, capable of 12 indications and priced below $10K…that’s a big deal,” 3D Systems’ President and CEO Vyomesh Joshi said at the show, referring to the new NextDentTM 5100 printer. Powered by the company’s proprietary Figure 4™ technology, the printer facilitates high-speed printing; for example, a complete denture base can be printed in an hour. Available this summer, the printer is fully integrated with scanning and design software and produces trays, models, surgical guides, dentures, orthodontic splints, crowns and bridges with precision and predictability.
3D Systems also introduced 18 new NextDent resins at LAB DAY, bringing the entire material portfolio to 30 and covering mid-term C&B, try-in, impression tray, surgical guide, model, gingiva mask, orthodontic and casting applications; new denture and try-in resins are pending FDA clearance...
