"To expand our laboratory, we recently secured substantial bank financing and, with that extra flexibility, we now negotiate with vendors to buy in large quantities for significant discounts. For example, we may only use 150 pucks of zirconia per month, but our last purchase was for over 1,000 pucks which qualified us for a stacking discount that took us to almost half off the product’s list price. 

"We took a similar approach for the approximately $300,000 in new equipment we recently purchased for our new building. We negotiated large cash discounts and consolidated the purchases with two vendors and got about 30% off the list price of the equipment."
