3D Printing: Changing the Way Labs Work

“It’s amazing how far 3D printing technology has come and is helping the dental industry as a whole. If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be in a position to influence and mentor dentists about my love for 3D printing, intraoral scanning, milling and digital design, I would have said, ‘No way.’ But I am! It’s the lab’s time to shine and by using a completely digital platform, the dental team can provide better-fitting restorations for the patient,” says Vernice Griffin, CDT, Owner, Griffin Dental Laboratories, Detroit, MI, and Adjunct Instructor of the Clinical Dentistry Department at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
