2023 Goals: Efficiency and Balance

It seems 2023 will be the year we finally move past the last several pandemic years. In fact, 70% of lab operators are optimistic about their business this year—up 10% from 2022 when we asked the same question—and 60% are optimistic about the lab industry’s success overall, according to our Planning for 2023 Survey (see here for our report).
As I do every year, I reached out to readers to glean insight as to why they feel optimistic and to hear about their goals for the year. One reason for the positivity is that labs are super busy and enjoying growth. Consequently, gaining efficiency is a top objective for many owners.
