Biography; Kelly M. Loyd, B.S.,CDT/TE
Education; Kelly M. Loyd is a veteran Dental Laboratory Technologist having spent 35 years in the dental laboratory field. A graduate from Ferris State University (A.A.S.) and Indiana University (B.S.) Education, he is also member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Experience; Mr. Loyd began his career at the University of Michigan Dental School laboratory facility. Kelly later became the General Manager for a large laboratory in Detroit Michigan. He soon joined a chain of corporate laboratories as a Production Manager. Kelly wanted to further his career; therefore he teamed up with a local Maxillofacial Prosthodontist and worked exclusively in his private office fabricating various precision attachment cases, all ceramic restorations and numerous types of implants. Kelly soon branched out, forming his own 8 man full service laboratory for a number of years, to finally sell his full service laboratory to a corporate chain dental laboratory group.
Credentials/Community Services; Kelly is a National Board Certified Dental Laboratory Technician (CDT/TE), a graduate of the L.D. Pankey Institute and has studied with the Asami Tanaka Institute/Willi Geller Oral Design Group. Mr. Loyd is a member of the J. Everett Light Career Center Advisory Committee, and is Past President and one of the founders of the Greater Indianapolis Study Groups. Loyd Dental Studio, Ltd., was awarded the Outstanding Employer by Indiana University Career Development center. Mr. Loyd has volunteered with the State and The National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Kelly has worked for Corporations, Universities, Private Practices, & Loyd Dental Studio, Ltd. When you can’t find Kelly at the lab, you will probably find him golfing, skeet shooting, boating, or skiing/snow/water with his wife, two boys and dog/lab named Lucy.
