Optimism Up, But Business Still Down

    There were new realities created by the economic downturn that forced us to react quickly & decisively to remain competitive. A key for us was to never allow the recession to become a scapegoat for poor performance. Doing so, would have created a self-fulfilling prophesy.

    I suspect many small labs don't have the resources or business acumen to compete in an industry facing such rapid change. The only thing that is certain about our future is change...we should all get used to it.
