ADDL Tackles Ambitious Implant Training Program

Affordable Dentures Dental Laboratories (ADDL) provides lab support to Affordable Dentures & Implants, a network of more than 220 affiliated dental practices in 40 states. Each practice has its own in-house lab that’s owned and operated by ADDL, which employs almost 800 technicians and is responsible for hiring, managing and training those technicians.

In the past two years, many Affordable Dentures & Implants practices began offering implants—mainly removable overdentures—to augment their existing denture services. This move has had a tremendous impact on the practices, with some locations experiencing as much as 20% growth due to their new implant services.

It also necessitated an ambitious implant training program for ADDL technicians, most of whom had no previous implant experience. While the program is still ongoing, to date, about half of the technicians have received implant training.
