The adaptation of digital technology is transitioning from CNC milling to 3D printing as the primary method of rapid prototyping, eliminating time and waste while reducing cost. David Avery, AS, CDT, TE, discusses the current status of 3D printing with emphasis on inclusion of once cost-prohibitive opportunities and technologies in even the smallest laboratory.
