Zirconia Bridge Honors Patient's Unique Natural Smile

This case stood out because it bucked the trend of the “Hollywood Smile” and gave me the opportunity to create something refreshingly distinct. The patient wanted to maintain the unique charm of his crowded lower anterior teeth while achieving a natural, harmonious appearance. Addressing this anomaly required a meticulous approach and we decided to fabricate a four-unit porcelain-layered zirconia bridge.
Dr. Daniel Radu of Boca Raton, FL, took a digital impression using the 3Shape TRIOS system, then I designed the bridge using exocad software. The bridge design needed to provide the necessary stability and function while seamlessly incorporating the existing crowded arrangement. Customization played a pivotal role as each tooth’s shape, size and position had to be precisely recreated.
