Vision 21 Offers Inside Look at Country's Biggest DSO

Many in our industry view Dental Service Organizations (DSO) as one of the biggest threats to laboratories today. However, for many dentists facing the challenges of today’s market—like new graduate debt, administrative burdens and the pressures of finding and marketing to new patients—DSOs provide an attractive option to owning their own practices.
At the Vision 21 meeting at Las Vegas’ historic Bally’s hotel in January, 300 laboratory attendees got a fascinating look inside the biggest DSO in the country. Heartland Dental has 1,500 dentists in 900 offices across 37 states and is continuing its rapid growth track.
