Adam and Adrielle Ahokas, Chameleon Digital Dental Lab

Adam and Adrielle Ahokas sold their first lab in 2017 and moved to Javea, Spain, to do missionary work on behalf of Jehovah’s Witnesses and expose their two teenage sons to a different culture. When the pandemic hit, they moved back to Cary, NC, and Adam taught himself how to scan and design, mainly by watching YouTube videos. He was invigorated by the technology and found he had a natural flair for it.
Adrielle had been a hygienist and maintained a good relationship with her former boss, Dr. Robert Stanley, owner of Stanley Dentistry and Stanley Institute for Comprehensive Dentistry, a continuing education facility. Dr. Stanley approached Adam about how to streamline and digitize All-on-X processes and Adam started researching the project further. Then, in November 2020, they took the plunge and opened Chameleon Digital Dental Lab in Adrielle’s mother’s living room.
