Solvay Introduces Millable Disc for Partial Denture Frames

Solvay Specialty Polymers,USA, LLC, announced that its Dentivera™ milling disc made from Ultaire™ AKP (aryl ketone polymer) has earned FDA 510(k) clearance and is available in the U.S. The disc is specifically for dental applications, beginning with removable partial denture frames that are biocompatible, lightweight, metal-free and non-irritating. Traditional techniques are used to bond the acrylic and denture teeth to the material.
“Sixty percent of patients don’t wear their partial dentures because of discomfort.
