Soft Tissue Management With An ITero Milled Model and Straumann Repositionable Implant Analog

Specializing in implant borne prosthetics, Midwest Dental Arts has discovered a technique to improve soft tissue management that we want to share. This is the first of a 2-part article that illustrates how to create a soft tissue model, using an iTero milled model with the Straumann Repositionable Implant Analog. The restorative dentist removes the healing
cap from the dental implant, places a Mono Scanbody and takes a digital impression. The healing cap results in a perfect 360° circle of the soft tissue and the technician determines
where to place the cement finish line on the customized abutment. By providing a temporary healing abutment or crown prior to fabricating the final restoration, there is no guesswork
with predictable soft tissue results because the proper emergence profile was created.
