Ivoclar Digital Dentures: How to Use the CAD Bond Procedure in the Milled-Tooth Workflow

The future is here! In 1982, while in technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, I fabricated my first set of dentures and never could have dreamed how the process would change 30-plus years later. 

Now, I’m working with the digital denture process using 3Shape’s Denture module and Ivoclar’s Digital Denture Professional Add-on. The combination offers a number of workflow options that give the laboratory flexibility and dentist-clients don’t have to totally change their clinical processes. The workflow inputs range from basic impressions or models with a bite record to the closed-mouth functional impression technique and include a Gothic arch tracing and other options in between.
