How to Stay Relevant in the Current Marketplace

Industry after industry has gone through the same technological disruption the lab industry is going through today. On one hand, the transformation has created tremendous opportunities for progressive-thinking companies to gain market share; at the same time, the transformation has left carnage and destruction for businesses that were unwilling or unable to adapt.
The two most common ways companies break out during rapid industry-wide evolution cycles are through branding or innovation. Think about how massively LensCrafters transformed the optical lab business or how digital cameras affected film processors. Unfortunately, these highly effective strategies are very expensive to execute…at least they’re too expensive for my laboratory to undertake.
