How to Create a 'Window' Between Full Contour Zirconia & Layered Ceramics

After a boom in monolithic restorations, I’m seeing a rebirth of esthetics. To address my dentist-clients’ demand for the esthetic quality of conventional, handmade units, I started using a simple cutback-and-layer technique for lithium disilicate and now I’ve applied it to green-state zirconia.
My Window Technique offers a bridge between the productivity of full contour zirconia and the beauty of layered ceramics by introducing light refraction and reflection to milled zirconia restorations. Although it requires an additional firing, the technique takes just minutes and allows you to offer much more lifelike restorations to your clients.
