Hold a Health Fair

For 15 years, Knight Dental Group has sponsored an annual staff wellness event featuring a variety of health professionals. Held in conjunction with the lab’s annual blood drive, programs have included chiropractors offering free consultations; trainers demonstrating 10-minute workouts; massage therapists giving 15-minute massages; and RNs doing EKGs, taking blood pressure and testing blood sugar.  

The half-day event is typically held in the lab’s education facility and about 90% of the staff participates, including one 55-year-old technician who discovered a dangerous health condition at last year’s event. “His blood pressure was off the charts and the nurse was so concerned, she immediately took him to the hospital,” says Barbara Warner Wojdan, CDT, AAACD, President of the Oldsmar, FL laboratory. “Today he’s on medication and is much healthier...
