Helping Hands: Tassi Dental Supports Haitian Medical Mission

The staff and clients of Albert Tassi Dental Studio in Elmhurst, IL, recently contributed boxloads of donations to support a medical team's trip to Haiti.

Upon discovering that Kimberly Boston, a family friend and nurse practitioner, was joining a team of medical personnel to assist victims of the earthquake, Albert and Mary Tassi, owners of the laboratory, knew they wanted to help. Along with spreading the word to their 17-person staff, they stuffed the case boxes and statements of local customers with a memo requesting donations of items such as vitamins, first aid supplies, baby blankets and shoes.

The laboratory's delivery drivers collected contributions as they picked up cases along their routes and the supplies--including colorful handmade blankets--rolled in.
