On January 21, 2021, Earl Jacobs, one of the oldest living CDTs in the country and former manager of Davidson Dental Lab and Supply in Baton Rouge, LA, will turn 104. That’s him, below, reading the latest issue of LMT.
Doesn’t he look great? How many people do you know who have lived through TWO pandemics?!
Known for his “gift of gab,” Jacobs recalls that, back in the old days, the lab fabricated 50 vulcanized dentures a day; his was the largest lab between Memphis and New Orleans.
The days of vulcanized dentures have long been gone but Jacobs keeps up with all the new technologies and changes in the laboratory community by continuing to read LMT magazine. His son, Tom, shared this fall-foliage-rich photo of Earl with Managing Editor Kim Molinaro, who interviewed Jacobs back in 2018. He wanted her to know her favorite industry centenarian is staying up to date with every issue.
