Handler Manufacturing LLC Celebrates a Century in Business

You don’t get to be a 100-year-old company by resting on your laurels—just ask Handler Manufacturing which celebrates a century in business this year. The company’s rich history began in 1920 when Edward Handler, a machinist by trade, saw the opportunity to innovate in the dental market. To expedite the process of making vulcanite dentures and partials, he invented the Donham Flask that was easy to take apart, and the Ideal Press, an economical flask press. Handler Manufacturing was born.
Over the century, the business has changed hands a few times, continuing to innovate and expand its portfolio of products and services and grow into new markets. In 2018, Richard C. Milici Jr., Owner of Blackstone Industries LLC—which includes Foredom Electric Co., Olson Saw Co., Zona Tool Co. and Edge Finisher Co.—acquired the 26-person company.
