exocad Software Partners with Carestream Dental, DENTSPLY Implants

exocad made three announcements about its DentalCAD software:



  • It’s now compatible with Carestream Dental’s CS 3500 intraoral scanner, allowing labs to collaborate with dental practices that use the system. Using dentalshare, exocad’s cloud service, labs and clinicians can communicate more quickly and transfer even large, complex cases in minimal time.

  • A new interface for ordering DENTSPLY Implants’ ATLANTIS™ patient-specific abutments provides labs with an improved digital workflow including expedited order completion and cost-savings.

  • Attendees also got a sneak peek of an update coming in the second half of the year. Exocad DentalCAD users will have an automated import of the ATLANTIS Abutment Core file, a digital file of the total case including the outer surface of the ATLANTIS Abutment that allows the technician to design a temporary or final crown before the final ATLANTIS Abutment is delivered.
