The ortho niche continues to thrive, according to LMT’s 2020 State of the Orthodontic Market survey. Nearly two-thirds of our respondents report that their current workload is either “good” or “booming,” and another three-quarters say their outlook for their lab is either “bright” or “challenging but good.” (View chart here).


This specialty continues to feel the positive effects of more involvement with general practitioners, enhanced public awareness of orthodontic treatment and an increase in adult orthodontics. At the same time, digital technology is transforming orthodontic workflows—helping them meet clients’ changing demands and streamline operations.
